Marble Cake

Hello fellow bloggers!
I wanted to show you guys how to do a marble cake :)

Soo.. I kinda cheated on this one and used cake mixes from the box. Oops!

So what I did was I made both of the boxes. (Follow instructions on the box)

I separated a little from both (in separate containers)

When I put the batter in the pan I got the little batter I separated and I poured it on top in a zig-zag form.
-> I did these for both the chocolate and yellow cake.
After that I grabbed a fork and starting at the top did zig-zags all the way down to spread the batters.

At the end it looked like this:

You don't have to do it like this! If you're just using vanilla, or yellow cake, you can get some cocoa powder and mix it with a small portion of the batter. Then you can do the pouring and zig-zagging.

I tried to explain this as best as I could, so I hope you understood!

Best of luck to you all :)

I bake when i'm bored

So the other day I got really bored and decided if bake a cake to share at school. I wanted to sell it, but people got annoying with having to pay 50 cents. So I gave the pieces away. It was a chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting. I'll share the recipe later. But here's a picture of the cake :)

Cheesecake Cupcake!

One of my favorite desserts is a Cheescake, although there are many flavors, I've always favorited the Original cheesecake. For my first time making it, it was nerve wracking cause I just didn't know how it would end up tasting, but in the end my family said it tasted really good. So, here's how to make it:

- 2 Publix Brand cream cheese packs  (it's cheaper)
-1  & 1/4 cup of Graham Cracker crumbs package
- 3 eggs
-1/4 cup of sugar
-1/4 cup of melted butter

Directions:
1. Melt butter in a bowl and pour over graham crackers and mix.

2. Place cream cheese in a bowl and microwave for 30 seconds, for it can be easier to mix it.

3. Crack eggs, one by one, into cream cheese..NOT ALL AT THE SAME TIME.

4. Mix until mixture is smooth.

5. Place crumbs and plaster it down on surface you want to put the cheesecake and border it around the edges of the pan or cupcake pan.

6. Place mixture on pan and place it in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

7. Once you see cheesecake rising take it out and put it in the fridge for two hours.

Enjoy!

Tips!
- this is my first time doing a cheesecake, so I left it a longer while in the oven and I freaked out when I saw the surface toasted. But don't worry, they come out like that.
- if your cheesecake rips, it's
Normal for it to happen, because once you put it in the fridge, the coolness brings it together.
- I spent a total of 5$ on everything needed, plus I had some materials here at home. So it's very inexpensive.
- I will make another one to see how much I could improve on my next one :)

Cake Making Tips

1. Avoid using cold eggs and butter
     - Make sure they are at room temperature
2. Measure your ingredients properly
     -Don't compact your flour
3. Butter your pans
-You don't want your cake to get stuck
4. Pan placement is important
-Make sure to place it in the center of the oven and make sure to rotate your pans throughout baking time
5. Cool your cake upside down
-This will flatten the top of your cake making stacking earlier

Nutella, Strawberry, and Banana Crepes

Recently I went to visit my aunt and she showed me how to make some crepes which we had for breakfast. They were delicious!
Ingredients: (Crepes)
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Ingredients: (Filling)
Nutella
Strawberries
Banana
Directions:
1. Mix wet ingredients and gradually stir it into the dry ingredients to combine. Beat until smooth.
2. Heat a lightly oiled pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the pan. Use approximately 1/4 cup for each crepe. (It depends on the size of your pan)
3. Tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface evenly in a thin layer.
3. Cook the crepe for about 2 minutes, until the bottom is light brown. Loosen with a spatula, turn and cook the other side.
4. Fill crepe with Nutella, strawberries and banana.*
Enjoy your delicious Crepe!

How it started....

Throughout our Junior year, we became disappointed at our prospects in the future. Since we've known each other for four years, we decided to make a pact. Our pact is: If our dream careers are not accomplished, we will open a bakery owned and operated by us three. This blog is going to demonstrate and explain some recipes we have tried or hope to make once our bakery opens. In the future, this blog will become a place where you guys can also contribute your culinary experiences/experiments..Just don't burn the kitchen ;).
